There's a homestyle ambience when dining at Gramps. That feeling from the 60s & the local corner store kind of feeling, & the cooking reflects that. My dhal was served up in a cute cast iron skillet with a dollop of homemade chutney & a generous serve of flat bread. Coffee was also good, as was the service
Cute cafe with lots of seating.
My mum thoroughly enjoyed her cappuccino, but my long black was not enjoyable.
Food looks amazing though, we will be back to try.

Went back for breakfast a month or so later. The food was very enjoyable. Lots of flavours. The portion sizes are on the smaller side and the prices are on the more expensive side, which is unfortunate. My coffee was good this time around.
I love the atmosphere though and the girls behind the counter are super lovely.
Trendy. Fast. 😍 fabulous.
I came here with my Sparkly 💖 lady on one of our Saturday morning breakky drives.
Coffee : latte and flat white. Flat white good. Latte: consistent milk texture, great temp. Dark crema, caramel flavour bean. Low bitterness. Awesome 😎!
We ordered a 'spicy grandad' lovely folded egg mix with great blend of flavours and a 'smashed avo' with extras, fantastic slightly pickled red onion, with a lovely sweet-chilli dewdrop.
Very fast service although quite busy.
I just had the best time at Gramps Cafe! The orange & almond cake was absolutely delicious, and the coffee was spot on. They even served it with a cute spoon! The cafe's decor was filled with lovely pictures, creating a cozy atmosphere.
I love their "Free ugly mugs" idea for takeaway cups; it's both fun and eco-friendly. The staff was super friendly too, making me feel right at home. Gramps Cafe is a must-visit spot for anyone looking for a delightful coffee and cake experience. Can't wait to go back for more!
It was Saturday afternoon; we were hungry; we drove past (and back) to grab some late lunch here (hard to find a cafe open past 1-ish pm in Brisbane so we were grateful). The atmosphere is - interesting. Hubby and I felt like we'd wandered back in time - it's a lot hippie, kinda quirky and old-fashioned, seemingly staffed by folks they'd just grabbed from the street and who weren't very experienced in staffing a cafe. But they were nice enough. we waited and waited for our meal, but it was worth the wait. My coffee was great, hubby said his raspberry shake was deliciously cold and fruity and 'made properly' and in a metal canister. I ate a Frenchie toast with poached orange. I thought at first it looked a bit dry but it was amazingly tender (and not eggy, yay) and sweet, and full of cinnamon and sugar. I added hash browns. He had a veggie toastie with spicy and delicious vegetables (he added halloumi), well-toasted and full of flavour. The breads on both were very tender and moreish, not hard and sharp as you sometimes get in cafes. All up, we enjoyed our lunch, and recommend the food, as long as you don't mind being the oldest kids on the block. We were two generations above the usual crowd!
best hot coffee i've had in brisbane so far & really scrumptious food as well, would definitely recommend :)
The staff are really friendly and nice, the outside seating is super relaxed. The raspberry croissant - amazing and highly recommend! Brownie was "melt in your mouth delicious" (from a chocaholic). Lemon and poppy seed cake was "a bit tough", very dense almost undercooked and the outer was extremely chewy and probably won't get that again.
Chocolate milkshakes were Chocolatey, frothy and suitably sweet. Iced latte was good, couldn't taste the caramel but nice. I can also vouch for the standard flat white from previous visits.
A casual place to catch up with friends and family alike. Can get busy so be prepared for a wait to get your coffee. Food storage could do with some improvements to reduce pests flying about the offerings. Outdoor setting is a bit chaotic and desperate for more space. Otherwise enjoy.
